This comprehensive audit considers your market catchment, and competitors. It covers 135 checks including:

  • Product: range, depth, quality.
  • Customer Services

  • Merchandising
  • Management: planning, budgeting, systems & procedures, monitoring, key performance indicators, cash flow, and people management.
  • Marketing: branding, positioning, promotion, internal marketing, advertising

The audit report includes recommendations and details of how to implement improvements where required together with a priority action plan. In addition a presentation “Garden Retailing Today” highlights the changes necessary for success.

We do not focus on criteria for industry awards / accreditation as these criteria are narrower, standards-based, and do not necessarily aim to improve the bottom line.

Mentoring

A mentoring service is offered by our very experienced senior consultants and usually follows on from the Audit / Appraisal. Mentoring is available on a weekly basis by phone / email to assist with ongoing advice on the implementation of changes required. We include monthly key performance indicator monitoring, plus one or two site visits per year according to need.
